Malbec
[MAHL-beck]
The Malbec grape is one of the six varieties approved for making red wines in the Bordeaux region of France. It is used in small percentages and is being grown and included less every year. The only place that it is on the upswing and makes high quality wines is in Argentina. It is a thin skinned grape that needs more sun and heat than either Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot to mature.
