Our staff has been selected for background in the food and restaurant business as well as the wine business. With over four decades of combined experience in personal wine consulting, our buyers and professional wine consultants are constantly in touch with current tastes. For every wine that appears on our site, on average between 100-200 were tried, but rejected. Our buyers are all extremely picky, and have diverse palates, that in turn ensure we have a fine selection of wines. We hope you find many to enjoy!

Minimum Orders and Availability
WE PAY YOUR SHIPPING for order of 6 bottles or more. orders of 3-5/btl is $15 Shipping. This shipping is ground. Faster delivery is always available at a cost to you. We are currently not allowing orders under 3 bottles. In some instances, state law regulates product availability and/or wine purchase limitations. Working within state and local laws may prevent our ability to fulfill order requests. We will always contact the customer in this case.
All wines, spirits and liqueurs are not registered in all states. If there are restrictions on the order you have placed, as wines- we will contact you within 24 hours. After that we reserve the right to substitute based on price.
Your order should be processed within 48 hours of being taken, if all accepted. We will charged you only when your wine ships out! With weather, we use our descreation on what may be too hot or too cold. We may delay shipping so as to not compromise the integrity of the wine.

Out of stock items
Though we continually monitor inventory to ensure product availability, there are times when products may be out of stock. If that occurs, we will email you. After 24 hours, we will make a substitution based on price, then taste, or cancel the order if you prefer to do so. Please just e mail us if you need to cancel an order before it ships. If you cancel after the wine has left, there will be a re-stocking fee of 25%. Your credit card will not be charged until we ship your order, and you will not be charged for out-of-stock items.
Credit card refunds
We will process refunds to the credit card used at time of purchase upon receiving your returned shipment. Please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the refund credit to appear on your statement.

Cancelled and/or returned orders are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Following the wine trade tradition, all bottles ten years or older are purchased at the buyer's risk. Gift Baskets, wine openers, and vinum corkers cannot be returned once opened.
Adult Signature Delivery
Because the wine, spirits are alcoholic, we must require adult signature. The carrier will leave a notice if you were not home. We pay extra for this required service; it is the carrier’s desecration. If wine is left, call the carrier directly! Most carriers will attempt 3 times, and then return the delivery to us- then there WILL BE A RE-STOCKING FEE of 25%. Your best bet is to call the carrier and set up a delivery time, or a time you can pick up the package at their facility.
Wine Tasting Parties
We love parties and events! We will be happy to discuss event options with you. Please contact our office at 224-795-7866; we do parties for 10-300 people. Drink Better Wine will help you host a wine tasting for any event you wish! Many people have enjoyed tastings for Bridal Showers, Bachelorette parties, even a Bachelor party with different Spirits.
Odds N Ends
People are always asking about a “discount”. I could inflate prices, only to discount, but I think that is a game I won’t play. The prices here are fair, and most often, less than others WITH FREE SHIPPING- which most others do not offer everyday! A full case of wine weighs about 40 pounds and can cost $45 to ship from Chicago to Maine, or California! There is your discount. In addition, adult signature costs extra and so does sending the wine in temp controlled trucks.
