During the best years, the winery will select its top grapes to go into this blend to constantly refresh the small oak barriques this Port is stored in, to retain the wine's intensity and structure. The long aging process allows this wine to shed any unwanted tannic characteristics to provide a Port that offers a nose full of raisins and figs. A mellow texture with a solid structure and long finish makes this the perfect dessert wine or partner with strong cheeses.
