This small Tuscan village around the hill town of Montalcino has become the darling of wine connoisseurs around the world. Here the Sangiovese Grosso yields wine with sensual aromas. The fragrances of licorice, violets, truffles, smoke and raspberries have all been found in this wine. By law the Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak barrels for 3 1/2 years.
