In France, the wines are ‘raced’ via car, truck, train, and even bicycle to waiting restaurants and wine stores in Paris. Everywhere people come together in celebrations, whether public or private, to enjoy the frothing fruitiness of the fresh, juicy Gamay. In order to guarantee a better quality and restore balance, the Beaujolais region reduced the planted surface of vines from 10,000 hectares in 2006 to 8,000 hectares this year, providing a reduction on yields and demand for quality. We are right on track this year with Collin Bourisset in our 7th installment of the Nouveau vintage.
