(Free S/H $22/btl)The 2009 Ca’Marcella Valpolicella D.O.C. Comes to us from Vinicola Tombacco, just outside of Venice. They have been farming grapes and producing wine for over 100 years. Here they have favored vineyard sites that are protected by mountains and gently influenced by the Adriatic. This is the heart of the I.G.T. And the D.O.C regions of Northeast Italy.
This hearty red wine presents a dark purple color with a reddish rim. Spiced cherries, red berry and toasted coconut are all present on the nose while a juicy finish of sour cherries and spice will make this wine a great partner to braised meat, roast chicken with mushrooms and burgers.
