Situated just over the bridge from Pomerol, Chateau Fantin is 100% Merlot and is given 6 months in oak barrels. The wine has a rich, red robe and offers fine aromas of red berries, spice and cedar. The palate is pure Bordeaux, which elegant fruit and strong tannins. The 2007 Fantin may need some time to mature and 'round out. May also be enjoyed now alongside braised or grilled lamb and filet mignon.
