$50(free S/H) Named after its humble, dedicated winemaker, Dumas de Fombrauge, this 17th century Chateau was originally a monastery and is one of the oldest properties in the tiny village of St. Emilion, the oldest district of Bordeaux. Classic right-bank style with elegant fruit and solid tannin, the Merlot wraps its fruit around your mouth and is accented by the full-body of Cabernet Franc. The quality of this estate has shown a sharp increase according to wine industry insiders and we're pleased to offer this expression of excellence in the 2003 vintage, a world-class year for Bordeaux. Featuring St. Emilion's tell-tale aromas of leather and red cassis, this powerful, round wine will take a few years to shed some tannins but can be consumed now after an hour or two of decanting.
