A very good value Pinot Noir, the J. Soble from Monterey is an enticing wine showing off Pinot’s natural aromas of black cherry, raspberry and a little damp earth. A brightness is evident on the palate from fine acidity while the raspberry and black cherry reemerge in the mid-palate to provide a sumptuous and clean finish. This is a wine that could be drunk on its own, but will pair well with roast beef or pork and grilled fish.
