$55(free S/H)BUY NOW-ALMOST SOLD OUT! Liger Belair's production from the Fixin commune is a great representation of this momentous vintage, at a modest price!. The wine shows off a deep purple color with violet highlights. A protruding nose of wild berry, saddle leather and toasty oak is complimented by a silky and voluptuous palate culminating in a perfectly balanced finish. It has become harder and harder to find good values from Burgundy in recent years with a string of successful vintages and the increased popularity in Pinot Noir, we have seen prices increase to an astronomical level. All these factors make our searching all the more rewarding when we can find wines like the Fixin 'Clos du Chapitre' for a reasonable price. Produced from a vintage that Robert Parker rated an overall 98 points, the 'Clos du Chapitre' 1er Cru enjoyed a fair, even growing season. There were some problems with hail and rampant wild boars that were drawn to the healthy grapes on the vine, but many producers recorded very successful harvests.
