$70(free S/H) White Burgundies are greedily snatched up by the world's finest wine collectors, and in the best vintages, it is nearly impossible to find a Chardonnay anywhere in the world that can stand up to the harmonious structure that is produced in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune. Having to be vigilantly guarded against wild boars that were on the hunt for ripe grapes, Liger Belair tended to their lot in the 'Petis Sous' vineyard every day as they recognized their vines were producing something magical during the 2005 growing season. This Puligny-Montrachet has a heavenly nose of ripe tropical fruit and sweet melon backed by a slight mineral tone. The front palate is crisp and clean and gives way to a toasty and creamy finish thanks to subtle oak aging. We only have a limited 40 cases of this delicious wine, so don't hesitate one minute!
