(Free S/H* 24/btl) Carmenere is a grape that has really become ‘The Grape’ of Chile, much like Malbec for Argentina and Cabernet for Napa Valley. The strong body of this grape and intense flavors have really caught the attention of big red lovers, and these people won’t be left unsatisfied with this wine either.
This is a red fruit wine, dominated by raspberry and strawberry with a hint of spice and caramel from 8 months of oak ageing. Carmenere is more tannic grape, giving the body grip and solid structure. The mild and even temperatures of the Atata Valley allow the grapes to ripen slowly, creating a very balanced wine with a long and complex finish of tannin, spice, menthol and raspberry. A very pleasing wine that will compliment a nice Porterhouse Steak.
