$31(free s/h) Made from the Seigerrebe which is a hybrid of Gewurztaminer & the Huxelrebe grape, gives a penetrating bouquet, while Huxelrebe provides the fantastic sweet,fruit flavors. A big fanfare was made by us during the release of the 2001 vintage as it was hailed by the press as the "Best German vintage since 1971" and it was also our 10th year receiving this wine from Rudolf. I feel that the 2004 Nieder-Florsheimer is, superior to the 2001. At 102oe, this wine could be classified as Auslese. Filled with of aromas such as mangos, Muscat and roses, the 2004 Spaetlese offers fruit that you can almost chew while it is in your mouth. Truly a remarkable wine and effort from one of Rheinhessen`s genius producers.
