$50(no S/H) Only the single varietal Viognier is allowed to grow in Condrieu located in the northern Rhone, Condrieu is an appellation covering only 270 acres, producing an average of only 500,000 bottles a year. Pichon takes great care in producing this wine and splits the fermentation between 75% percent in stainless steel tanks and 25% in new oak barrique. The result is a breathtaking wine with heavenly aromas of apricot, pear, almonds and violet petals. Condrieu is privileged to have a warmer climate, which offers these whites a heavier body and high alcohol content. But with expert oak aging, the wine is rounded providing a full, rich finish.
I have only 30 cases of this wine, so buy now to cellar!
