But then, a heat spell emerged in March, kick-starting the growing season early and setting the tone for what was to become one of the few vintages critics claim is - simply perfect. This Chardonnay is a wine for all seasons. It shows a mouth full of apples, peaches and pears, that will render you almost speechless. Emitting aromas of slightly toasted bread and butter, along with a fine underlying creamy vanilla, makes it a delicious pair to light dishes or salads.
