Tenuta Torciano dedicates the Terrestre line of fine wines to the ancient and noble soils of the Tuscan vineyards. This 2nd edition of the Terrestre line comes straight from the prestigious hills of Montalcino, the breeding grounds of the world famous Brunello. Picked from premium grapes that went through a rigorous selection process, this wine was made from 100% Sangiovese. It then went through a long aging process where it spent 2 years in large oak casks, 1 year in small oak barriques, 1 year in small chestnut barriques, 1year in cherry barrique and then a dark, cool wine cellar since it's transfer to bottle. The result is pure ecstasy as a fully developed nose of vanilla, prunes and cherry fills the glass. These aromas are duplicated by a full-bodied, elegant palate of rich Sangiovese with a finish that lasts over a minute.
