$37(free s/h) We have previously offered the 2001 Westerly Estate Merlot, which went over extremely well with our customers. Now we offer the same vintage, but in a 'Reserve' style. Westerly set aside the grapes from their Happy Canyon vineyard in Santa Ynez to make this bold and provocative wine. Using vine clones from the famous Three Palms Vineyard in Napa Valley, Seth Kunin, winemaker at Westerly, produced the winery's only reserve wine to date - a Merlot with greater extraction and fruit intensity that compliments abundant aromas of black cherries, dried herbs, spicy oak and dusty earth, which reminds one of a great Pomerol.
