This site has a GeoTrust secure server certificate, and has measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. You may submit credit card and other sensitive data to this site with the assurance that GeoTrust has verified the organizational name and that Drink Better Wine has the proof of right to use it.

Policies
Our staff has been selected for background in the food and restaurant business as well as the wine business. With over four decades of combined experience in personal wine consulting, our buyers and professional wine consultants are constantly in touch with current tastes. For every wine that appears on our site, on average between 100-200 were tried, but rejected. Our buyers are all extremely picky, and have diverse palates, that in turn ensure we have a fine selection of wines.
We are committed to providing superior customer service. We have staff available to answer questions 7 days a week at our office 847-341-9453. Toll Free at 866-991-9463. We will always return all e-mail and voice mail calls within 24 hours. Our site is open, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Minimum Orders and Availability
In some instances, state law regulates product availability and/or wine purchase limitations. Working within state and local laws may prevent our ability to fulfill order requests. We will always contact the customer in this case.
All wines, spirits and liqueurs are not registered in all states. If there are restrictions on the order you have placed, as wines- we will contact you within 24 hours. After that we reserve the right to substitute based on price.
Minimum order is 3 bottles of wine, spirits or liqueurs. Accessories and gift baskets are not included, and may have a minimal handling charge. We do try to keep our costs down for you!
Out of stock items
Though we continually monitor inventory to ensure product availability, there are times when products may be out of stock. If that occurs, wine representatives are available to suggest comparable substitutions. In cases where a substitution is necessary, we will email you before shipping and provide the option to select other items. If you decide not to make a substitution, we will ship available items minus the out of stock item(s) or cancel the order if you prefer to do so. Your credit card will not be charged until we ship your order, and you will not be charged for out-of-stock items.
Credit card refunds
We will process refunds to the credit card used at time of purchase upon receiving your returned shipment. Please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the refund credit to appear on your statement.
Returns policy
We stand behind the quality of all our products and services. Your satisfaction is our top priority. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your order, please contact us within 30 days of receipt of your order for Customer Service at customerservice@drinkbetterwine.com.
Cancelled and/or returned orders are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Following the wine trade tradition, all bottles ten years or older are purchased at the buyer's risk. Gift Baskets, wine openers, and vinum corkers cannot be returned once opened.
Futures
A small percentage of our products are sold on a "pre-arrival" or "futures" basis. These products are explicitly-indicated on our website along with arrival expectations in the tasting notes. Drink Better Wine will notify you when your wines arrive via US Mail. You will then be able to contact our office to coordinate shipping. We will NOT automatically ship out these when they arrive, so contact with us must be made.
Processing time
Order processing time is contingent upon credit card authorization screening, and does not include weekends or holidays. When orders are placed after 5pm central standard time, orders will be entered the following business day. Please be aware of the possible delay for hot and cold weather. We reserve the right to delay the release of shipments to ensure product quality.
Flexible Wine Clubs
Drink Better Wine offers flexible taste options for all wine clubs. We want to send wine you will like! We will contact you to discuss your tastes in wines, and try our best to send you wines you will like. Give a wine club shipment as a gift! Drink Better Wine clubs make great wedding gifts! Changes may be made for the delivery address. The address must be received by our office by the 15th of the PREVIOUS month, we will then ship to wherever you what us to! (Within state and local shipping laws).
Wine club customers credit cards will be charged the last week of the month. In most cases customers will receive their delivery on or about the 1st of the month. 3-tier states are the exception.
Gift Baskets
All gift baskets are shrink-wrapped with cellophane. Opened gift baskets may not returned. New York state law prohibits food and wine together. We can ship items separately, please call the office with details. 866-991-WINE(9463).
We offer non-alcoholic baskets, cigar baskets, beer baskets, coffee baskets, picnic baskets and snack baskets. We can add Wine or spirits, but will need to be shipped separately. Handling fee may apply.
Wine Tasting Parties
We love parties and events! We will be happy to discuss event options with you. Please contact our office, we do parties for 10-300 people. 866-991-9463. Drink Better Wine will help you host a wine tasting for any event you wish!
Shipping
Shipping methods and costs
Estimated shipping times and shipping costs are based on the products selected, and will be determined at checkout. Shipping costs for orders from Drink Better Wine are available at checkout.
Standard deliveries are handled by UPS and are FREE DELIVERY. Deliveries will be made to the address specified on the order. Please choose your shipping option carefully. The named recipient or anyone at the listed address, over the age of 21, with proper identification can sign for the package.
If an item in your order isn't available for immediate shipment, we will notify you and offer a substitution recommendation or provide the option of holding your order until all items are available for shipment.
We cannot ship wine or items that include wine to PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses. We do not ship on weekends and major holidays. Additionally, under extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to delay the release of shipments to ensure product quality.

1 Please be sure you have chosen your Ship To state correctly, as regulations in certain areas of the U.S. prohibit their residents from receiving wine shipments directly.
2 These states are limited to accessories and non-wine Baskets only. We can not ship wine to these states due to current legal restrictions.
3 Restrictions prevent us from shipping directly to these states. Our trucks will ship indirect, if order is placed and approved ON OR BEFORE the 14th of the month - delivery is about the end of that month. If order is placed and approved AFTER the 15th of the month, delivery is on the next months truck and delivered end of the month.
November/December: We have 2 trucks going for Holiday orders; please call us to confirm your approximate delivery date.
* Food and wine packages cannot be shipped together in New York. State law prohibits shipping food and wine together.
